Idylle am Hintersee
Es ist natürlich eine bekannte Szenerie, die Inseln im Hintersee in Berchtesgaden. Dieses Bild zeigt eine idyllische Szene, die auch gleichzeitig den Übergang vom Winter in den Frühling zeichnet. Die Tage zuvor gab es noch reichlich Schnee in der Region, der so langsam wegschmolz und die Frühlingssonne zeigte sich seit Tagen zum ersten mal und brachte die hohen Wolken farbig zum Vorschein. Dieses Bild zeigt diesen Moment, in dem sich der Frühling letztlich durchsetzt, perfekt.

Green Smoke
Ich wusste, sollten die Nordlichter auftauchen, wenn ich an diesem Ort bin, dann muss diese rote Hütte mit ins Bild. Denn rote Häuser und Nordlichter sind einfach typisch für die Lofoten. Als sich die Nordlichter formten sprang mir dann der Gedanke in den Kopf, dass sie wie aufsteigender Rauch aus einem Kamin aussahen. Schnell versuchte ich mich in Position zu bringen, so lange sie noch diese Form hielten. Ich stapfte durch den Tiefschnee und nahm schnell ein paar erste Aufnahmen auf.

Peaceful Hamnøy
Ich mag es, wenn Bilder eine gewisse Mystik und Ruhe ausstrahlen. Hier in Hamnøy auf den Lofoten ist mir dies besonders gut gelungen, wie ich finde. Wer mich kennt, dass ich nur selten der Freund von Langzeitaufnahmen bing. In manchen Situationen geht es nicht anders. Häufig finde ich auch, dass zu lange Belichtungszeiten bei Wasser unnatürlich aussehen können. Hier allerdings, war das Wasser des Fjords bereits sehr ruhig und die lange Belichtungszeit hat diese friedvolle Atmosphäre noch einmal unterstrichen. Und obwohl ich beide Aufnahmen gemacht habe, entschloss ich mich, diese hier für mein Portfolio zu verwenden, weil sie einfach wunderschön ist und die Atmosphäre des Moments sehr gut widerspiegelt.

Die Farben des Nordens
Wenn die Wolken dramatisch sind, sind Landschaftsfotografen glücklich. Hier passten die zerrissenen Wolken perfekt zur Dramatik des Meeres mit seinen Wellen und den Begebenheiten des Strandes bei Vikten, der durchzogen ist mit Felsen und Steinen. So entstanden mit den richtigen Belichtungszeiten tolle Bewegungsformen des Wassers. Die offenen Wolkenlücken sorgten dann für zeitweise tolle Farben und tolles Licht. Ein durchaus dramatisches Bild, an dem ich mich selbst aber kaum satt sehen kann.

HAUKLAND
Es ist wohl einer der berühmtesten und schönsten Strände der Lofoten: der Haukland-Strand. Nicht zu letzt ist diese Bergformation, die den Haukland-Strand umgibt auch durch das Logo der gleichnamigen Kleidermarke für Fotografen bekannt geworden. Im Winter lässt die weit im Süden aufgehende Sonne die Berge in tolles Licht tauchen und nicht selten färben sich die Berge, violett, rot oder orange. Ein tolles Motive. Dennoch habe ich versucht dieses häufig fotografierte Motiv auch neu zu interpretieren und meinen eigenen Stil einzubringen.

Autumn color harmony
A small scene in the fall forest that you pass by without thinking unless you’re really looking for it. I was looking for the last remaining colorful leaves in the forest. First and foremost, of course, yellow leaves. Because in the shadows of the morning, the mist often still looks slightly bluish, which creates a wonderful color harmony with the yellow leaves. To discover this scene, you had to look closely and you could only take the picture with a telephoto lens so that the detail would fit. The picture quickly became uninteresting all around.

Quiet moments in nature
Top 16 of the Nature Photo of the Summer ’24 competition by Naturfotografie Deutschland
For me, the forest usually seems like one of the most peaceful places in the world. Especially in a healthy forest, everything lives in harmony with each other. The animals, the trees, the bushes. When the mist or light rain in the morning makes the atmosphere almost magical, it seems so peaceful. You can only hear the rain dripping on the leaves and your own footsteps. From a distance, you can hear the soft hammering of a woodpecker and the occasional birdsong. Quiet moments like this in nature are not just for taking photos, but also for enjoying.
