Move\u00adments in the distance are all the better for&nbsp;it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a593480 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a593480\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If, for example, a car drives past in front of your camera with an expo\u00adsure time of, say, 2 seconds, you will end up with a video that shows a picture of hundreds of stripes of the car. This can be seen as flicke\u00adring in the video. But you want to avoid that. But if the car drives by in the distance, you will end up with several shots of the car moving through the frame. This move\u00adment will be visible in the&nbsp;video.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d534409 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d534409\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>So it is quite helpful to have some distance to the move\u00adments you want to record. Select a slightly larger section of the image. For the video format, the pictures are usually cropped a little, and you may also have a little more move\u00adment in the picture than if you choose the crop\u00adping too narrow. This has saved my shot a few times. Basi\u00adcally, you need a camera with which you can take a picture at regular inter\u00advals and a firm stand. The easiest way to achieve this is with a tripod.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-972fda8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"972fda8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Inter\u00adva\u00adlo\u00admeter<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba2254c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ba2254c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It doesn\u2019t really matter what kind of camera you use. Theo\u00adre\u00adti\u00adcally, a mobile phone is enough for now. Ideally, the camera has an inte\u00adgrated inter\u00adva\u00adlo\u00admeter, or it is possible to connect an external inter\u00adva\u00adlo\u00admeter. Other\u00adwise, you would have to trigger each indi\u00advi\u00addual shot manu\u00adally, for example via an external shutter release, so that you don\u2019t shake the camera.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-60e0afe elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"60e0afe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For those who have been involved with timel\u00adapse for a while, the LRTi\u00admel\u00adapse PRO Timer is a house\u00adhold name. It is the abso\u00adlute best inter\u00adva\u00adlo\u00admeter with which you can also manage complete day-night tran\u00adsi\u00adtions. With the settings in the camera alone, a tran\u00adsi\u00adtion from the blue hour to shortly after sunrise is usually the maximum possible.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2dd1a32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2dd1a32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Neutral Density Filter<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-04e505c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"04e505c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As soon as you have made your first test shots, you will notice that it is better for the video if the expo\u00adsure time is at least 50% of the shoo\u00adting interval. The move\u00adments are some\u00adwhat blurred, but this is more plea\u00adsant to watch in the video itself. The move\u00adments appear less \u201cjerky\u201d and softer. In the example of moving clouds, an interval of 5 or 6 seconds is often used, which means a minimum expo\u00adsure time of 2.5\u20133 seconds. Espe\u00adci\u00adally during the day, this cannot be achieved without a grey filter.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0e279e7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0e279e7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>With chan\u00adging light condi\u00adtions, e.g. sunrise, it is of course not always possible to keep the same expo\u00adsure time constant. The expo\u00adsure time is then adjusted by the camera. When choo\u00adsing the ISO and your starting expo\u00adsure time, you only have to leave enough play. If you start with a 2\u2011second expo\u00adsure time before sunset, the camera cannot compen\u00adsate for a 5\u2011second interval. As soon as it gets darker, it needs a longer expo\u00adsure time, which is simply no longer possible. So start, even if it may not be as beau\u00adtiful on the finished video, with a higher ISO and an expo\u00adsure time of perhaps 1\/200 sec. Ther\u00ade\u00adfore I had to close the aper\u00adture quite wide (f\/11) to have an expo\u00adsure time greater than 50% of the interval when I started shoo\u00adting. I had chosen the interval at 5 seconds, because the clouds passed by quite fast. Of course, the expo\u00adsure time reduced signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly until sunrise. Shortly before sunrise it was already at 1\/15 sec. With the aper\u00adture closed, I also wanted to nuance the sun star at sunrise a bit more clearly. Whether now aper\u00adture 9 or 8 and ISO 100 would have been better, about it can be argued. I usually do a pretty rough edit in Ligh\u00adt\u00adroom for all images synchro\u00adno\u00adusly, export the images as JPG and drag them into DaVinci Resolve to have a look at the result and export it as a video clip if neces\u00adsary. This is, as I said, only very rough and should there have been any flicke\u00adring, this method comes up against its limits quite quickly.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a28952 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0a28952\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The soft\u00adware LRTi\u00admel\u00adapse by Gunter Wegner helps here. With LRTi\u00admel\u00adapse it is possible to edit single photos (keyframes) in RAW format in Adobe Ligh\u00adt\u00adroom and then auto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally apply them to the whole sequence. With the help of the keyframes, para\u00adme\u00adters can also be set adjusted to the chan\u00adging light condi\u00adtions in the images, which achieves a much better final result.
